Weather Update – Thursday 9 July – 10.00am
Good morning,
I am sorry to let you know that we have made the decision to postpone the Nursery and Infant Sports Events that were due to take place on Friday 10 July.
We appreciate that changes like this can be disappointing and may cause some inconvenience for families. However, after reviewing the latest weather forecasts, we believe this is the right decision for the safety and wellbeing of both children and adults.
Although there is currently no weather warning in place, today's forecast is predicting higher temperatures than yesterday's forecast, with temperatures expected to reach 33°C tomorrow afternoon. Given these conditions, we do not feel it would be appropriate to hold the events.

Thank you for your understanding, flexibility and continued support. We know how much families enjoy these events, and we look forward to welcoming you on Monday.
Kind regards,
Mr Averis

When making decisions about school operations and events, we follow guidance and warnings issued by the Met Office, as these are specifically intended to support decisions relating to schools and local weather conditions.
At present:
We are taking a number of precautions in school, including:

At present, we are planning to proceed with the Nursery sports event (morning) and Infant sports event (afternoon) on Friday 10 July. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will review these arrangements if any information changes or relevant Met Office weather warnings are issued.
Thank you for your continued support.
