The hot weather this week at school means that we are all making sure we stay sun safe and cool.
Please ensure that you apply sun-cream to your children before they come to school and ensure that they -
At point of writing (5pm on Wednesday 18th June) there are no hot weather warnings in place for the rest of the week or the weekend. CLICK HERE. We will continue to monitor the MET office website to ensure that we follow any guidance should a weather warning for hot weather be put in place and adjust what we do in school accordingly.
We are therefore still looking forward to the PTFA colour run tomorrow night. The aim of this event is to get messy. It is not a race, it is not timed, the slower you run, the messier you get, the more time you have having colour thrown at you and getting hosed down with water. The PTFA have also ensured that there are also extra gazebos in place. Everyone who takes part gets a medal regardless of how long they take.

Year 5 children are enjoying their breakfast of pancakes on a sunny Derbyshire morning. Mrs. Astell has let us know that they had a lovely first afternoon and evening enjoying a barbecue and 'smuggler's run' and are getting set for today's activities (stream walk/high ropes).
Year 5 children have arrived safely at Lea Green for their two night residential trip.
