Derbyshire County Council Household Support Fund
As part of the Government’s Household Support Fund Scheme, Derbyshire
County Council is distributing funding to household’s struggling to pay for
food, energy, and essential living costs.
As part of the scheme, the Council will again be distributing grocery
vouchers. Information about who is eligible for the vouchers is available on
the website and distribution will start in late June 2024. We will update the
website when all vouchers have been distributed and provide details of what
parents and carers should do if they have not received their voucher.
Full details about the scheme and the support available for those
experiencing financial hardship is available on our website at

We have shared information about an initiative we hope to run on Laund Nook on Thursday June 20th 2024, National Clean Air Day.
We will be applying for a temporary road closure on parts of Laund Nook at the beginning and end of the school day to reduce traffic fumes around the school.
Information and the letter are on our website. CLICK HERE.
St. Peter's church has asked us to share their advertisement for a part time administrator.
This would be a great opportunity for someone looking for part time work in the local community.
On Saturday 13th April the Archbishop of Canterbury will be visiting Crich Monument for 'Prayer and Picnic'.
The event is free and open to all, with a poor weather alternative venue nearby.
All information, including how to register for your free tickets are on the Eventbrite website - CLICK HERE.

Mr. Averis
The Director of Public Health in Derbyshire has asked us to publish a letter for parents about the rise in measles cases. Unfortunately, due to several years of low vaccine uptake, the number of cases of measles is rising in Derbyshire and the UK.
Measles can cause a serious illness with 20% of children having measles having to be submitted to hospital.
Please read to the letter to help keep your children and everyone else, as safe as possible.
Year 4 parents are invited to watch their children perform on Tuesday 12th March at 2.45pm.
Due to space in the hall children are limited to two adults per child attending.
Update - Friday 9th February
Children in year one and year two will be bringing home two important letters today.
One letter contains personal details and information to enable families to set up Parent Pay accounts. Please ensure that you check your child's book bags to retrieve your letters tonight.
The second letter is a generic letter with information to help explain Parent Pay and how we use it. CLICK HERE.
Children in Nursery and year one brought their letters home on Tuesday. Mrs. Richardson put a message on Tapestry to let these parents know that the letter was coming home.
Parent Pay is the online payment system we use at St. John's to allow parents to pay for school trips, dinners and other events that may take place during the year. All parents of junior children have already had their letters and have already set up their accounts.
