We are inviting all parents to our next PTFA meeting on Tuesday 18th October at 7.30pm. This very brief meeting will take place in the school hall and will be an opportunity for parents to vote for three new members to join our committee.
I am pleased to share that as we say goodbye to our outgoing committee we have received three nominations for the roles of Chair, Treasurer and Clerk. Many thanks to Coral Williams, Jo Procter and Rebekah Jones for wanting to support the school this year and ensure that our PTFA continues to help children enjoy the treats and events you fund and organise.

See you on Tuesday 18th at 7.30pm.
After a brief break in building work we will be welcoming the team back to school during week beginning Monday 26th September. During this second phase of the building project there will be some small changes to routines at the beginning and end of the school day.
From Monday 26th September, children will not be able to come into school and leave school via the normal side gate but will be using the big double gates from the bottom car park instead.
All the information and a map of school showing the changes are on our website. CLICK HERE.
In memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II we are inviting families to write in our book of condolence. This book will then be kept in school archives, joining historical documents that date back 140 years, providing a fascinating insight into life at St. John's since the 1880's.
Families and visitors are able to contribute to the book during the day, when it will be kept in the school entrance area, or at the end of the day when we will move it onto the playground. We encourage children and parents to write their message together.
The book will be open from Tuesday 13th September and will remain open every day, until all families that wish to have been able to contribute.
School will be closed for all pupils on Monday 19th September to allow us to pay our respects to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
School will be open from 9am on Tuesday 20th September as normal.
Parents of children in year 6 need to be thinking about year 7 and secondary school. Children will be bringing home information from local secondary schools and the local authority in the coming days with information to help families and children.
Secondary school applications for September 2023 can be made from Monday 12th September 2022 and close on Monday 31st October 2022. CLICK HERE
Parents will then be told about their application and which school their child has been offered a place at on Wednesday1st March 2023.
