Our daily before school sports club, run by Premier Education (formally Premier Sports) runs every day from 7.45am to 8.45am in our school hall.
At present a handful of children attend every day. The children that arrive are in their year group bubbles for the session.
Premier Education have let us know that due to the low number of pupils attending every day that they may unfortunately have to cancel the club. Can parents that want to use this before school club please make their booking for the next few weeks now, so that Premier Education can assess demand to help them make a decision. If more children attend then they will be able to continue running the club.

We have been informed today of a positive case of COVID-19 in our school community. Our thoughts and best wishes are with the family and we wish them a healthy recovery.
We have contacted the Department for Education and Public Health England this morning who have told us to do the following in order to keep all children, staff and our community as safe as possible. The Department for Education have recognised that this positive case is not linked to the positive case in our year 4 bubble.
All parents and carers are invited to read this letter. CLICK HERE.

We have contacted the Department for Education and Public Health England this morning who have told us to do the following in order to keep all children, staff and our community as safe as possible.
1) All year 4 children need to isolate for 14 days from the 14th October.
2) The rest of the school remains open as normal with us continuing with our COVID-19 safety measures in place.
YEAR 4 PARENTS AND CARERS
PARENTS AND CARERS OF CHILDREN IN ALL OTHER YEAR GROUPS
Many thanks to all of the parents and carers who took part in our virtual parent evenings this week. In the last three evenings over 400 parents have had the opportunity to speak to their child's class teacher over the phone or face to face via an online video link. We are very pleased that, despite COVID-19 we have been able to spend time celebrating your children's work with you and sharing ideas as to how we can continue to help them throughout the year.
It was the first time that we have had to run parents evening in this manner. Thank you for your patience if any technical glitches disrupted your appointment. We have learned several lessons ourselves this week and will use this to help us next time.
Parents that missed the deadline of 9am on Tuesday 6th October to book an appointment at next week's parent/carer meetings have a second opportunity to book.
Information about the second opportunity and a link to the second form are on our website. CLICK HERE.
This second opportunity closes at 9am on Friday 9th October.

All children in reception to year 6 are bringing home a letter this week regarding this winter's flu immunisation programme.
All St. John's children in reception to year 6, are invited by the NHS and our local Community Health Service to have their immunisation at school on Wednesday 7th October when NHS staff will be in school to immunise the children.
Parents need to opt in for their child to be immunised. No child will be immunised without parental consent. Parents need to give consent online by following the instructions on the letter. Parents do not send consent forms back to school.
St. John's does not manage or administer the flu immunisation programme, it is all managed and led by the NHS Community Health Service. If you have any questions about the programme please contact the immunisation team on the contact details on the letter.
To read an online copy of the letter on our website and find out how to give permission for your child to be immunised - CLICK HERE.
