Children are invited to answer some questions to help the inspector in their inspection tomorrow. I enclose the paragraph we have had from the inspector today. Please click on the link below with your children and answer the questions before you come to school tomorrow.
Ofsted is inspecting your school and, would like to hear your views. You can do this by completing an online pupil questionnaire at the following link: ofsted.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/Pupil/10031238
Your views are really important to us and, will help inspectors understand your experience of school. The questionnaire will close at 11am on 05 December 2017, to give the inspector time to look at the results.
We have been informed today that we will be inspected tomorrow, Tuesday 5th December 2017.
Parents are encouraged to complete a parental survey to help the inspector find out about our school. CLICK HERE.
Children are bringing home a letter with more information, this letter and an inspection guide for parents is available on our school website. CLICK HERE.
Parents and carers are invited to subscribe to our email update service. Families that choose to do this will receive a weekly email informing them of what is happening and will be happening at school and be the first to hear of other important news as information as we are able to share it.
This is a free and confidential service.

Week beginning Monday 13th November is anti bullying week. To support and recognise this week we are joining in with odd socks day on Monday 13th November. The theme for the week is that all children are different and all children are equal. To show this we are encouraging children to wear odd socks on Monday 13th. The socks can be as mad and as exciting as possible, but they need to be different!
Children will also be having assemblies and teachers will be talking about the importance to children of working together and keeping everyone happy. At. St. John's we like to focus on the fantastic friends that we can all make at school and we will also be celebrating friendship next week as well.
Children will be bringing home a letter form Mrs. Gilring, our anti-bullying lead teacher, on Friday 10th Nov with information to help parents.

It is with a very heavy heart that I share the news our ex-caretaker Mr. Phil White passed away on Saturday.
Mr. White was the caretaker at St. John's from 1999 to Easter 2017 when he left us to take early retirement. It is very sad that he only got to enjoy six months of what we would all have wanted to be a much longer and happier period of his life.
I am sure that you all join in with me in sending his family our love, thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.
Tempest photographers will be in the school hall on Friday 6.10.17 for individual school photos. All children will have their photos taken throughout the school day including those with siblings at St John’s school.
There is an opportunity for you to bring your children in between 8am – 9am if the following apply:-
