  • Tour of Britain Friday 11th September

    If the weather is good on Friday 11th September we intend to walk to Spencer road to watch the Tour of Britain cycle race come through Belper. The cyclists are expected to pass through Belper at about 2.30pm and we look forward to cheering them on their way.

    More information will be sent home in the first newsletter of the year on Tuesday 8th September.

    More information about the Tour of Britain can be found on the Tour website http://www.tourofbritain.co.uk/home.php . Please note that their will be several road closures in Belper on Friday 11th September in the afternoon and you may need to build this into any of your plans.

  • School reports coming home today

    Your child is bringing home their school report today, Tuesday 14th July. The accompanying letter can be downloaded from the letter's section of this website if you need an extra copy of it.

    Please note that children in EYFS and Mrs. Green's class are bringing home a slightly different letter to the rest of the school, make sure you download the correct version.

  • Year 5 letter sent home on Monday 6th

    Children in year 5 brought home a letter today, Monday 6th July, with information about a residential trip they are invited to go to next summer. The annual PGL year 6 residential will take place from the 8th July to the 11th July 2016.

    You need to return the slip by Friday 17th July 2015 if you want your child to travel.

  • School email problems

    Unfortunately due to reasons beyond our control we did not receive any emails on Wednesday 1st July. Please be aware that if you sent us any messages on Wednesday we will not have received them. Could you please resend them so that we can act accordingly.

     It appears that all systems are running as normal today, Thursday 2nd. However if you have an important message for us please ring over the next few days in case the gremlin returns.

  • Junior Sport Day

    The weather forecast for Friday is not great. If the field is dry and the weather is good we will have Junior Sport afternoon at 1.30pm on Friday 26th.

    If we have to postpone due to wet weather our reserve date in Monday 29th at 1.30pm.

    A decision will be posted on the scrolling news at the top of this web site by 10.00am on Friday morning letting you know what we have to do.

  • Summer holiday sport club.

    Children have brought home a letter today about a new venture at St. John's. If your letter didn't make it home you can download a copy from the letters section of this school website.

    We will be hosting a summer holiday sports club from Monday 24th to Friday 28th August. All the information, the booking form and information about prices can be found on their website www.premiersport.org You can not book places through the school office.

    Please note that it will be Premier Sports staff who will be in charge of the week not staff from St. John's. All Premier sports staff have relevant first aid, child protection and sporting qualifications as well as enhanced DBS checks.
